On June 26, 2008, the acquisition of the Enel Viesgo electric company and the Los Barrios and Tarragona generating plants, until now belonging to Endesa, significantly increased the presence of E.ON in Spain. Currently, E.ON España has a staff of approximately 1,300 professionals and sends power to more than 650,000 customers.
